Practice
Manager
The practice manager is responsible for the administration of the practice. She
is responsible for all the personnel, administrative and organisational aspects
of the practice. She is available to help with any non-medical problems relevant
to the practice and to discuss surgery arrangements, suggestions or complaints.

Our reception staff will assist you in making appointments, organise repeat prescriptions, answer telephone enquiries,
take requests for home visits and offer help and assistance at all times.

Diabetes
Najma is responsible for asthma clinics, blood pressure clinics, diabetic and
heart disease clinics. Najma can also offer advice on weight management, diet
and many other health-related issues including smoking cessation. Najma has an
open clinic every morning between 9.00 and 11.30am. Appointments are available
in the afternoon and can be arranged by telephoning the practice on 0141 429 0913.

The district nursing team carry out nursing care for the patient at home. Please

Jacqui Shaw RGN RSCN BSc Community Nursing (Public Health) Family
Planning Cert COSCA Counselling Cert
Jacqui offers health advice and support mainly to families with young children.
This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to
women with postnatal depression. She sees children for development checks at the
surgery on Friday afternoons, by appointment. Immunisations are done on the first
Thursday of every month, by appointment. Please telephone her on 0141 429 0913.
Students
Medical students and nursing students attend the practice from time to time. We
hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students to learn about general
practice. However, you will be informed of their presence in advance, and if you
do not want them to be present at a consultation, your wishes will be respected.
This will not affect your treatment in any way.
